David Cameron’s final words on Brexit….. mean nothing at all. Politicians and contracts with the electorate? Forget it.

I am going to keep sharing this video on Facebook, as it has proven beyond all doubt 2 things:

  1. This Conservative government gave us an unequivocal and categorical statement that the people, the vote, would decide whether we stay or leave. This is a binding contract in law.
  2. That politicians can not be trusted to keep their word and any contracts they make with the electorate are meaningless.

Parliament voted by a majority of 6 to 1 that the referendum decision would be given to the public.

Theresa May and her government have totally and utterly breached that contract by their inaction.  By sitting on her hands and delaying,  Theresa May has allowed the (clearly not impartial) judiciary to take over at the whims of rich, self-entitled people who think their money makes their vote more important.

Theresa May voted against the public having a vote on the EU in 2011.

Here is David Cameron in his own words delivering his Chatham House speech on the referendum. The result is binding.  Really.  David Cameron’s final words on Brexit….. mean nothing at all.  Politicians and contracts with the electorate?  Forget it.

Arron Banks has said he will be starting his Direct Democracy movement in 2017. Everyone who is appalled by our duplicitous political class should support it.

  • This episode in our recent history reminds me of Chamberlain’s visit to Berlin in the 1930’s. He came away with a meaningless piece of paper and so have we. The main parties scream democracy yet do not want to deliver it. They all seem to want best out of three votes or however many times it takes until they get what they want and to hell with the public. This country is a hidden dictatorship, one of the ways you can tell is by the total lack of political reform.
