2 UKIP ‘cabinet’ appointments have just been announced.
John Bickley. Not liked by many members who felt he didn’t cover himself with glory over the NEC’s handling of Steven Woolfe, which ultimately led to Steven being pushed out. And now he has been given Steven Woolfe’s old job. Unlikely to be a popular choice with Woolfe supporters. That appointment is a ‘watch this space’.
Mike Hookem is Fisheries spokesperson. Mike did well with Defence so he will probably do well with fisheries. We need someone to campaign hard and get all our waters repatriated and all our fishing quotas. Theresa May will undoubtedly give away fishing rights in her ‘negotiations’ with the EU unless someone bludgeons her repeatedly in the press.
More appointment notices to follow.
